Courtney, a native of North Carolina, is a doctor of Audiology. As an Audiologist, Courtney performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations which include hearing and vestibular (inner ear balance) assessments. She takes pride in educating patient’s about their hearing loss and the tools that can be utilized to improve daily communication, including: aural rehabilitation, hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing devices, and other implantable devices such as as Earlens and Esteem. Courtney is also passionate about tinnitus management, the importance of hearing preservation, and teaching her patients to advocate for themselves with regard to their communication needs.
Courtney earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) with honors from Indiana University, where she also worked for the American Sign Language department as a graduate teaching assistant, and as a graduate research assistant she worked with Dr. David Pisoni studying the executive function and spoken language skills of cochlear implant recipients.
Outside of work Courtney enjoys exploring the city of Atlanta with her two Australian Shepherds, reading fiction novels, and she’s always looking for her new favorite restaurant.
